Many families might celebrate anniversaries with a cake or party, but when you’re an Ingwer—as in Leo Ingwer diamond house in New York City—only a diamond will do. So when heirs and present-day company principals Danielle Ingwer Cohen, Todd Ingwer, and Ashley Ingwer, kicked around ways to celebrate their 75th year in business, they decided to mark it with a one-of-a-kind diamond ring worthy of the family matriarch, Clara.
So the Ingwers took a 5.03 ct. fancy intense yellow radiant-cut VS2-clarity stone with a GIA cert from stock and set it into a platinum and 18k gold mounting with 0.72 ct. t.w. EF-color VS1-clarity, colorless ideal-cut melee.
“I wanted something different than the classic halo or three-stone rings we always see with yellow centers,” said Todd. “I created this design because I feel it reflects the strength, dependability, and craftsmanship that our company has exemplified over the past 75 years.”
The aptly named Clara ring is available for purchase for $175,000 retail.
