One suspect has been arrested in the April 4 abduction and beating of a Philadelphia jeweler, and a manhunt is under way for two more suspects.
Khayree Gay was arrested in Lake City, S.C., nearly 600 miles away from Philadelphia, on April 10. He faces federal kidnapping and robbery charges.
The arrest was the result of an ongoing joint investigation between Philadelphia’s Central Detectives and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
The Philadelphia mayor’s office is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
