Today is going much more smoothly than yesterday: no chasing trucks or missing packages! And when I returned to the office last night, there on my desk were an assortment of wedding bands that we had requested from Frederick Goldman just hours earlier (our stylist, Brooke Magnaghi, suggested we pull some more classic bands to support the contemporary mix already on set). Since we shot still life yesterday, we’re shooting pieces on a male model today, with looks tied into yesterday’s archetype compilations of jewelry that a millennial, a businessman, and a sporty guy might wear.
This is the one issue of the year that we shoot with a male model—a point not forgotten by some of the women in our office, who requested social media picture updates throughout the day! Trey, our Southern-voiced, salt-and-pepper haired darling, did not disappoint the girls. Julie, Kim, Marci, and Melissa: Trey sends kisses. Stay tuned for the April issue to see what men’s pieces made the mix.
Jewelry on set today for the men’s shoot for the April issue. This issue is one of the most low maintenance of the year in terms of product pulls because there are only so many styles available for guys. (There will be a lot more jewelry pulled for May’s fashion issue!)
The clothes: a mix of casual looks and suits
Rings from Frederick Goldman, who kindly fulfilled a last-minute request to deliver a selection to my office yesterday for today’s shoot
Trey, JCK’s male model for the April issue, plants one on me this morning.
