“Everything was on fire yesterday!” exclaimed JCK photo director Leah Rudolfo this morning to our photo-shoot team. We shot model photography yesterday for JCK’s December–January issue, and the direction was all white: backdrop, clothing, and even the model, with her fair skin and blond crop styled into voluminous, playful, meringue-like layers. “The hair, clothes, model, makeup, jewelry—everything just came together and was on point,” added Leah. I could not agree more.

The artistic direction worked great for the jewelry we pulled, which was 95 percent yellow gold. We had—and have again, actually, as we’re on set today shooting still life—cuffs, stacks, fringed pieces, hoops, and more. The winter-white aesthetic was carried over today with ivory confections—marshmallows, macarons, and blocks of white chocolate, among others—serving as props for more gold jewels. The setup is such a clever and cute way of positioning the jewelry, and I’m confident you’ll love the looks. Stay tuned for our December–January issue to see the finished products.
