Fine jewelry brand Omi Privé has debuted a redesigned website to showcase its collections, which famously incorporate spectacular high-carat colored gemstones.
The new OmiPrivé.com highlights award-winning jewelry pieces with up-close photography that cascades across the screen. As you scroll down the page, more photos of the showstopping jewels are revealed.
It also features one of the most beautiful educational verticals we’ve seen on a jewelry site: A new Gemstones tab pops up bold, gorgeous colored gems. Click on any gem, and information including its origin, shades, and birthstone month materializes.
“We worked to make the website visually stunning, showcasing our collection and telling our stories through text and imagery,” said Niveet Nagpal, president and head designer. “It was important that…the website evoke passion, stimulate the senses, tell our story, and educate through our blogs and gemstone education section.”
He added, “This is an important step for us to showcase our brand and one-of-a-kind pieces digitally as we further utilize technology to transition our highly personal and intimate brand into the digital and virtual platforms of the future.”
The atelier’s digital revamp couldn’t have come at a better time. With the COVID-19 virus still raging in many parts of the country, and epidemiological outlooks for the virus’ spread in the fall looking grim, online shopping has moved from runner-up to queen bee in the hierarchy of shopping channels.
To celebrate its retooled site, Omi Privé has debuted a giveaway—dubbed the Scavenger Hunt Giveaway—which will gift one randomly selected entrant an 18k rose gold Omi Privé tanzanite necklace valued at $1,600. Omi Privé will also make an undisclosed donation to the Art Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund, which supports black students attending the school’s jewelry design program.
Those who enter the digital scavenger hunt will need to scour the new site for answers to a series of questions such as “How far back does Omi Privé’s legacy go?”
