‘O, The Oprah Magazine’ Celebrates 15 Years With Swarovski Crystal Cover

The magazine’s two May covers

Oprah is always the cover girl of O, The Oprah Magazine, but for the publication’s 15th-anniversary issue, Swarovski crystals complement (but don’t compete with) the mega-star.

Crystal is the traditional gift for a 15th anniversary, so creative director Adam Glassman, inspired by the pavé gem pieces of renowned jewelry designer JAR, commissioned his team to create the iconic O embellished with Swarovski crystals for the May cover.

The Swarovski crystal O is featured on two covers: replacing the traditional O logo on the front cover and in a special inside cover, photographed on a background of brilliant blue sapphires. For the black and white cover, Oprah wears an Xscape dress customized with more Swarovski crystals.

Fifteen covers have been adorned with actual Swarovski crystals and will be on display at Swarovski stores across the country. Readers can enter for a chance to win one of the covers, each of which has more than 1,500 crystals.
