November retail sales were $378.7 billion, an increase of 0.8 percent from
October, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce.
The number marks a 7.7 percent increase over November 2009.
Sales for clothing and clothing accessories stores, the category that includes
jewelry, rose 0.6 percent.
