ALROSA’s supervisory board appointed Alexander Nichiporuk, first vice president of Alrosa, as the company’s new president, the Analytical News Agency of Russia reports.
Ernst Berezkin was named vice presidentat the meeting, according to the news service. Vladirmir Kalitin, former president of Alrosa, will act as the deputy chairman of the Supervisory Board.
AK ALROSA is one of the world’s diamond major with around 23% of the world production. In 2003, ALROSA produced diamonds worth $1.649 million.
