The Watch Dealers Network and the International Watch and Jewelry Guild will host the first the first “Texas Watch and Jewelry Extravaganza!” Dec. 10-11 at the Marriott Westchase Convention Center in Houston.
The organizers say there will be more than $200 million in watches and jewelry for sale from vendors around the world. They plan to make the show an annual event.
The Watch Dealers Network (thewdn.com) and the IWJG have a combined membership of 7,700 in 59 countries. Both organizations specialize in the buying and selling of new and pre-owned watches and claim access to over $1.5 billion dollars in inventory among their members.
“An early December show in a place like Texas makes good sense,” said Avi Soffer, TheWDN chairman. “Many professionals need to replace their good sellers just in time for the rush. This will make it a good show for both buyers and sellers. And by having it held in Houston, most can take direct flights, being in and out quickly.”
Being offered at no charge will be professional photographers taking digital photos of members and guests inventories, which can be used for their personal Web sites, or uploaded to TheWDN Marketplace.
The event is cash and carry and a membership to either organization is required. Day passes with a cash only payment status are available upon request and approval. Due to the two day show period, there are limited time slots for photographers and appointments are required.
Show hours are from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m. each day. The Marriott Westhcase Convention Center is at 2900 Briarpark Dr.
