CompraLux, a daily home shopping show that will spotlight jewelry and target the Hispanic market, will begin airing on MundoFox this December.
MundoFox, a Spanish-language television channel that is a joint venture between News Corp. and Colombian broadcaster RCN, reaches 80 percent of Hispanic households in the U.S., reports say.
The show is being produced by Los Angeles-based Zalemark Holding Co.
Zalemark’s secretary-treasurer Steven Zale tells JCK the show will be “upscale” and feature leading Hispanic celebrities. It will include both Spanish and English.
“We will target the more affluent market and have a lot of higher price points,” he says, noting the Hispanic market has traditionally been “under-served” by the industry.
While the show will mostly feature jewelry, Zale hopes to eventually expand it into cosmetics and other accessories.
