New Hampshire Jeweler Charged With Receiving Stolen Property

Hung Hoang, 42, owner of Golden Times Fine Jewelers in Concord, N.H., was arrested Nov. 25 and charged with receiving stolen property and falsifying evidence, according to a local police statement.

The case began when a victim of a burglary noticed a class ring in Golden Times Fine Jewelers that had been stolen. The victim had identified the ring as the result of an engraving and notified police. Police officers took possession of the ring, but charged that the engraving had been altered by the time they got it.

That led to further investigation. A police department statement alleges that Hoang received numerous pieces of jewelry over a three month period that had been stolen in burglaries committed in Concord and surrounding towns.

Hoang has also been charged with 21 violations of the City of Concord’s pawnbroker and secondhand dealer ordinance.

According to a police statement, a multi-jurisdictional investigation into the burglaries has been launched and additional arrests are expected.

Hoang was released on $12,000.00 personal recognizance bail.
