JCK has announced exciting new events and guests to its 2015 Las Vegas show lineup. Show-goers will be treated to a number of panels and presentations featuring top Hollywood costume designers and jewelry-industry veterans, as well as a number of celebrations, including the annual JCK Rocks the Beach, the culmination of the weeklong show at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino.
An Evening of Design, JCK’s first annual celebration honoring the top 50 designer jewelry retailers and sponsored by Berkley Asset Protection, will take place on May 29. Also that evening is the very first Design Center Editor’s Choice Awards, celebrating imagination and honoring excellence in craftsmanship. The festivities kick off at 6:30 p.m. at JCK Wine(d) Down Bar.
On May 30, guests will be whisked away into the world of Hollywood with costume designers Ellen Mirojnick (The Knick), Meredith Markworth-Pollack (Reign), and Lou Eyrich (Glee), in “Hollywood Takes JCK,” moderated by JCK editor-in-chief Victoria Gomelsky and organized by the Product Agent‘s Jessica Cohen. The trio of designers will touch on the insights and challenges of accessorizing cinematic characters and each will demonstate her own methodology and personal style as she accessorizes a little black dress with collections pulled from the JCK show floor. The event will take place at JCK Las Vegas’ Currents Lounge from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Also on May 30, costume designer Lyn Paolo (pictured left) of ABC’s hit show Scandal, along with author Marion Fasel (pictured right), founder and editorial director of The Adventurine, will gather to present the history of jewelry style on the silver screen in “Expressing Style Through Jewelry.” Paolo will present five styled looks from the Limited’s Scandal-inspired clothing collection, paired with a curation of jewels from exhibiting JCK designers. This event will take place at the Clockwork Lounge from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
On May 31, it’s all about trends in bridal. “First Love Then Style: Bridal Trends You Need to Know” will provide insider insights via bridal editors, bloggers, and stylists, curated with live models. Moderated by Communiqué‘s Rebecca Moskal, the event features presenters including Stone Fox Bride‘s Molly Guy, Your Engagement 101‘s Severine Ferrari, How He Asked blogger Stacy Tasman, and jewelry and style expert Michael O’Connor. Guests can attend this event at the JCK Las Vegas Bridal Lounge, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Other events happening for the duration of JCK Las Vegas include JCK Uncorked, a relaxing wine-tasting event held at the Passport lounge on May 29 at 3:30 p.m.; JCK Brunch Bash, a complimentary brunch to prepare buyers for their final day on the show floor, held in the Sterling lounge on June 1 at 10:30 a.m.; and of course the always-popular and exciting JCK Rocks the Beach, this year headlined by soulful rocker Gavin DeGraw on May 31.
