New Design Concept Coming to JCK Tucson Jewelry Show

JCK announced a new design concept for the third iteration of its annual Tucson jewelry show. The show, which runs Feb. 3–7, 2016, at the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa, is open to all qualified buyers and will feature a new hosted buyer program as well as a new layout and upgraded booth design within two distinct ballrooms.

In keeping with the spirit of Tucson’s Gem Week, JCK Tucson will feature a ballroom fully dedicated to loose gemstones and mountings, offering retailers the opportunity to purchase product for their custom businesses and stores. The other ballroom will boast a collection of designers and brands, showcasing their individual collections with a range of imaginative aesthetics. This new layout promises to be complemented by open, airy lounge spaces, including a chic indoor tent that pays homage to the core of Tucson Gem Week.

“We’ve listened to the jewelry community and what they want out of their Tucson experience,” said Katie Dominesey, vice president for JCK Events. “We recognize that JCK needs to celebrate Tucson, both on and off the show floor. Business days start with a morning hike, continue with treasure hunting for the best baubles, and end by the fire pit with colleagues—a truly well-rounded business experience.”

The 2016 show will kickoff a new hosted buyer program. All qualified buyers are welcome to the show as in years past, and hosted retailers will include qualified elite design, boutique, and gallery buyers, who will receive a complimentary hotel stay along with personalized vendor matchmaking and special amenities.

This new and exciting concept is reinforced by the addition of the JCK Tucson’s newly appointed advisory board, including Aaron Faber Gallery, ZFolio, Jack Lewis Jewelers, Alishan Halebian, Atelier Zobel, and Michael Jensen Designs.

“I’m delighted to join the JCK Tucson Advisory Board,” said Patricia Kiley Faber of Aaron Faber Gallery. “Edward Faber and I fell in love with the JCK Tucson show this past February. We were able to buy designer jewelry at the show in the luxurious JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa, meet new designers and friends at sunrise meditation or evening cocktails on the terrace, and still source gemstones from the many gem shows, all in a non-frantic atmosphere.”

JCK Tucson’s 2016 festivities will kick off on Feb. 2 with a scramble tournament benefiting Children’s Health Fund, which will be held on JW Marriott’s golf course.
