The Natural Diamond Council announced Monday that it named Susie Dewey as its chief marketing officer. The role places the veteran fashion executive in charge of global marketing and communications for the industry-backed organization, which promotes natural diamonds worldwide.
The council said Dewey brings more than 17 years of experience in fashion, lifestyle, and luxury marketing. Her background includes senior leadership roles at companies such as Net-a-Porter and Michael Kors, as well as earlier work in public relations at Topshop and Burberry.
Most recently, she was Tapestry’s senior director of marketing and public relations for Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa, responsible for brands including Coach, Kate Spade, and Stuart Weitzman.
In her new position, Dewey will focus on shaping consumer-facing narratives around natural diamonds. “Her ability to connect brand, culture, and commercial impact makes her exceptionally well-placed to lead our global marketing efforts,” said Amber Pepper, the council’s CEO.
The NDC acts as an industry‑backed marketing and education body, producing research, content, and global advertising campaigns. It serves as an authoritative voice on natural diamonds, emphasizing responsible sourcing and the livelihoods supported by the diamond supply chain.
The council is funded by leading diamond mining companies and works across major consumer markets through platforms such as NaturalDiamonds.com and the “Only Natural Diamonds” campaign.
