Experiencing the show from my smartphone
I didn’t attend JCK Tucson this year, so I’ve been relying on Instagram to give me the next best thing—the virtual experience. And thanks to a healthy supply of iPhone photographers, there’s been no shortage of awesome snapshots to admire (and double tap). The #JCKTucson tags keep coming, but here are some of my favorites so far.
The work of @angie_crabtree just floors me. And that nail polish? Perfect.
That amazing pearl-studded denim (and those long, glamazonian legs) belong to none other than my friend and industry voice Monica Stephenson. @elizabethgarvin was obviously just as idazzle-d as me.
Speaking of @idazzle, Stephenson snagged this up-close shot of TK Metal Arts‘ beautiful Dahlia brooch, which I’ve been admiring in photos for some time now.
GuitaM was one of the remarkable talents on display at last year’s JCK Las Vegas show as a JCK Rising Star, and @get_rocked captured this creation of hers exquisitely. How perfect are these earrings for the desert?
@lordjewelry combines two of my favorite things in one color-popping photo: emeralds and cacti. Make that three—there are diamonds in there, too.
I’d be obsessing over @get_rocked‘s hair in this shot if it wasn’t for that incredible, hand-spanning ring from Rock and Gems Jewelry. This photo was featured in the popular account’s take-over of @jckevents’ Instagram feed.
