I hope we see more emeralds sparklers on left hands

It’s always a good idea for jewelers to know what styles are trending—and that includes the ring designs on the left hands of Hollywood stars. In a PR climate that that thrives on engagements, maybe-engagements, and canceled engagements, it can be hard to keep up with with the flurry of rings that come across our feeds, but there is one ring that I think jewelers would be smart to keep on their minds and in their cases: Lindsay Lohan’s emerald engagement ring.

The ring on Lohan’s ring finger—eportedly  an engagement ring given to her by boyfriend Egor Tarabasov—features a larger emerald surrounded by a halo and a silver-hued band. The stone is stunning and offset with the diamond halo simply pops.

As with so many celebrity engagements, each time Lohan is pictured without the ring, gossip rags are breathless with breakup rumors. But I think the ring is really special and offers women an example of more attainable luxury than huge colored diamonds.

So the next time a customer asks for something different, show her an emerald. Lohan would approve.
