Museum of Arts and Design: Exploring Contemporary Jewelry Sept. 12th.



The Museum of Arts and Design will offer a daylong program on contemporary studio jewelry on Saturday, September 12th.

This program will cover the leading trends, techniques, and processes in the field of jewelry design through artist demonstrations and a panel discussion. Events are free and open to the public with Museum admission.

The panel discussion will focus on current issues on contemporary studio jewelry with artists Robert Lee Morris, Robert Ebendorf, Daniella Kerner and Susan Kingsley of Ethical Metalsmiths. The panel will be moderated by MAD’s jewelry curator Ursula Ilse-Neuman.

Open studio demonstrations will include artists Ed Brickman, as well as workshops with Tamiko Kawata from Japan and Miriam Mirna Korolkovas from Brazil.
