Movado Names New Chief Marketing Officer

Movado Group has appointed Stéphane Gerschel (pictured), a veteran of Pomellato and Bulgari, its new chief marketing officer. The appointment was effective April 18.

Prior to going to Movado, Gerschel served as global brand managing director for Pomellato, owned by Kering Group. Prior to that, he worked as the senior director for international communication for LVMH-owned Bulgari and he was the international communication director for Veuve Clicquot.

Gerschel earned a master’s in law from University of Paris 2 Assas and the University of Miami and graduated from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris with a major in international business administration and a minor in luxury industry management. He the author of five books, including Louis Vuitton Icons and The Seasons of Veuve Clicquot.

Efraim Grinberg, chairman and CEO of Movado Group, said in a statement that Gerschel’s experience will be useful as Movado “continue[s] to advance digitally and expand our watch and jewelry collections.”

Gerschel replaces Mary Leach, who died in February 2021.
