So, Mother’s Day is May 13. You already have some great tips for making shopping for mom more fun. I decided to have a little fun myself to see how many mama-themed pieces I could dig up. I would never wear something that said Mother or Mom or Mommy, but there’s something about Mama that feels cooler somehow; there’s a wink, but also a sweetness to the ideas below, making any of them a welcome Mother’s Day gift.
Given that this is an apples-to-apples situation, you have to look closely to notice the variances that distinguish each piece. Block letters, lowercase, cursive, serif fonts, sans serif fonts, engraved, stamped, diamonds, no diamonds.… Also among the options: A Momma charm (if that’s your preferred spelling) and a pendant that spells out the word in Sanskrit (not for everyone, but I like the subtlety).
Many of these pieces can be customized or hail from a jewelry line that offers customization options, so if Mama doesn’t work for you, doubtless there are other maternal monikers to choose from.
