The Moritz Glik Apura Collection Is Everyday Glamour

I’ve been quite a big fan of Moritz Glik’s for some years now—you’ve likely seen his work profiled on this space numerous times. I’ve loved his Muda collection, an elevated take on his core designs; the Apollo collection, dramatic with its enamel detail; and countless other designs that appear so divinely glamorous.

This latest release, named Apura, feels different.

Moritz Glik Esmeralda ring

Moritz Glik Caracol shaker earrings
Caracol earrings in 18k yellow gold with 0.56 ct. t.w. emeralds and 0.37 ct. t.w. diamonds, $8,400

Not that Apura isn’t glamorous—it is extremely—but the pieces that make up this collection feel as if they’ve been designed for the times in which we’re living: comfortable, casual, still gorgeous. Intact is the signature Kaleidoscope shaker that we’ve come to recognize the jeweler for, in an array of styles that feel instantly wearable, the kind you never have to take off. It’s Moritz Glik’s lost glorious styles refined—which, given the collection’s name Apura, the Portuguese for refine, sharpen, or improve, we can see that was the designer’s intent.

Lume necklace in 18k yellow gold and palladium gray gold fusion with 10.98 cts. t.w. rose-cut diamonds and 0.4 ct. t.w. sapphires, $32,900

Many of the pieces that sit smaller on the body feel more approachable for days spent at home (which is all the time now) than some of the designer’s other collections—there’s a casual vibe that maintains Glik’s signature pizzazz. With a broad range of prices—$1,900 for a sweet little shaker ring filled with concha pearls, to $32,900, the price for the lust-worthy Lume necklace, pictured above—there’s something for almost every shopper, and even the latter of the bunch, with its incredible richness, could be slipped on unencumbered every day.

“I believe that jewelry is a very symbolic object and has the power to turn emotions into tangible tokens,” said Glik in a statement. “When I design something, I want that piece to be really worn out there, I want my jewelry to be carried around lightly, without pressure, but also to be felt as an empowering token of confidence.”

Moritz Glik Voa enamel earrings

Moritz Glik Volante rings
Vista ring in 18k yellow gold with 1.31 cts. t.w. diamonds, $7,300 (top); Volante ring in 18k yellow gold and enamel with 1.07 cts. t.w. diamonds, $5,700

That’s precisely how this line feels: light, but with a hefty dose of influence, something its wearer feels when they put it on. Most often we share images on this space that simply show the jewelry, to get the best look at each piece’s detail. But the way these look when worn, so delicate, with such beauty, I couldn’t not decorate these words with editorial-style imagery.
