The first satellite-controlled clock of Swiss watchmaker Mondaine in the United States has been installed in historic Harvard Square, next to Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass., over the entrance of the 60-year-old Swiss Watchmaker store.
The full-sized Official Swiss Railways Station Clock (Mondaine is the authorized maker of it, and of watches and clocks modeled on it) was unveiled by Mondaine and Swiss Watchmaker for consumers and the press on Oct. 30. The clock is linked to a Global Positioning System receiver, which receives time signals via satellite and maintains precise time automatically.
