MJSA makes appointments

Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America (MJSA), recently appointed Jennifer Perkins to the position of director of membership and Yancy Weinrich to the position of vice president of planning and development.

Perkins, who is new to the MJSA team, will be based at the MJSA headquarters in Providence, R.I. Weinrich, who has served as an MJSA membership account executive for the past six months, will work from MJSA’s Fifth Avenue office in New York City.

As director of membership, Perkins will oversee membership development, retention, and benefit programs, as well as provide support for MJSA’s government affairs activities. She most recently served as associate director for the Rhode Island League of Cities and Towns in Providence. There she instituted several member service programs, including an energy program that saved Rhode Island municipalities more than $3 million in two and a half years.

Weinrich, who is a past director of membership for the American Gem Society, will be responsible for developing membership and coordinating member services in the New York region and overseeing MJSA’s New York office, as well as participating in MJSA membership planning strategies. In her most recent position as account executive for MJSA, she has been able to introduce many companies to the benefits of MJSA membership, including the association’s New York State workers comp and the national jewelers block insurance programs.
