MJSA Debuts MJSA Designer Collaborative

The organization has also appointed Andrea Hill as designer advocate

MJSA has created a new community, the MJSA Designer Collaborative, for designers to share ideas, and appointed Andrea Hill (pictured) designer advocate.

Hill will be responsible for ensuring that jewelry designers’ needs and concerns are heard and addressed by the association.

She is the CEO of Hill Management Group, a marketing consultancy that works with small and mid-sized jewelry businesses.

“Designers are the creative backbone of the jewelry industry, and we want to ensure they have the resources needed to thrive in today’s market,” said MJSA president and CEO David W. Cochran. “Andrea has a long history dedicated to advancing designers’ careers, and I can’t think of a better person to advocate on their behalf. Through the new collaborative, we’ll be able to provide a fertile ground for her advocacy efforts to bear fruit, and to provide designers with a community that they feel truly represents their interests.

The organization also announced the formation of the new MJSA Designer Collaborative, a community for jewelry designers. The collaborative will include an online community (the MJSA Jewelry Designer Network), a quarterly online newsletter (MJSA Design Insights), and a new event, the ConFab Creative, that will be included in the MJSA’s ConFab conference in October.

MJSA members are invited to join the collaborative free of charge. More information is available at MJSA.org.
