The Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America (MJSA) will hold the second annual Jeweler’s Bench Conference and Trade Fair on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 13 and 14 in Warwick, R.I.
The conference for jewelers and designers who work at a bench or run repair, custom, and repurposing businesses will take place over the course of two days at the Sheraton Providence Airport Hotel.
“This year, we’ve divided the education conference into two distinct days, one for jewelers looking to improve their business and marketing skills, and a second day for designers and bench jewelers who want to sharpen their bench skills,” said David W. Cochran, MJSA president and CEO, in a statement.
Saturday’s program, called Better Business Sessions, has been organized by the MJSA Education Foundation. Sunday’s program, called Better Bench Sessions, was developed by Metalwerx, a Waltham, Mass.–based school and community studio for jewelry makers and metal artists.
The trade fair portion of the event will host suppliers offering bench tools and supplies; CAD/CAM software and machines; laser welders and engravers; finishing supplies and systems; components, gemstones, and chains; business services and software; and subcontracting services.
Registration and information about the conference and classes offered are available at the Jeweler’s Bench Conference and Trade Fair event page.
