Million Dollar Ice Cream Cone on Tour

Lazare Kaplan Intl. Inc. is taking its Million Dollar Ice Cream—a replica of Bruster’s Real Ice Cream signature cherry vanilla ice cream cone encrusted with Lazare Diamonds—on a world tour, the company said Monday.

JCK Show ~ Las Vegas attendees were the first to view the “objet d’art.” Following it’s premiere, the cone was the centerpiece of the opening of the Life as a Legend: Marylyn Monroe exhibit at the Huntington Museum in West Virginia from July 13-15, which drew in nearly 500 guests at a private invitation only opening event. The exhibit is a celebration of the cultural icon, including over 200 prints, paintings and photographs, and Lazare’s Million Cone served as homage to the late starlette’s favorite gemstone.

The cone then made its way to Atlanta to celebrate National Ice Cream Month at Mednikow Jewelers, July 21 and 22. In addition to offering a visual treat, Bruster’s delighted taste buds by serving complimentary ice cream to the crowds. The tour will continue on to Lazare Diamond retail brand accounts in the United States and abroad.

The Million Dollar Cone consists of nearly 20 troy ounces of 18k yellow and white gold and is 6.5-inches tall. The ice cream portion is dripping with 549 pavé set diamonds while the cone is adorned with 67 prong set Lazare square emerald-cut diamonds. A 5.63 carat fancy intense yellow radiant cut diamond crowns the cone as its centerpiece for a total of 636 Lazare Diamonds. This one-of-a-kind diamond cone is for sale with a portion of the proceeds going to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
