Michael Benavente, Karen Bradbury to Honor Sol Meller at LA Marathon

The pair will raise funds for cancer research in memory of Meller, who died last year

Michael Benavente, executive vice president of sales at Bulova, and Karen Bradbury, senior vice president of Movado independent sales, will run in the Los Angeles Marathon on Feb. 14 in honor of the late Sol Meller, former president of Feldmar Watch Co.

Meller died from pancreatic cancer in November 2015. He was 69.

Benavente and Bradbury (pictured above) will run with Team Concern and are raising money for the Concern Foundation, a cancer research foundation that has raised more than $730,000 for cancer research and treatment programs.

To date the pair has raised nearly $7,000 of its $10,000 goal.

“To honor Sol, we will be running the LA Marathon as a team raising money in memory of Sol,” the pair wrote in a letter on their fund-raising page. “He was a man who lived an extraordinary life.”
