Anna-Mieke Anderson—the longtime CEO of MiaDonna, one of the first sites to sell lab-grown diamonds—has left the e-tailer that she founded in 2005.
At press time, no replacement CEO has been announced, but a spokesperson tells JCK that Jay Koshiya, who purchased MiaDonna in 2023, shares Anderson’s “belief in the power of lab-grown diamonds.” Koshiya is also an executive with Pure Lab Diamonds, which is part of India’s Jewel Star Group.
On Instagram, Anderson commented: “I’ve officially wrapped up my time as CEO…. I’ll be taking some much-needed space to rest, reflect, and finish my memoir (yes, it’s finally happening!)—sharing the behind-the-scenes truths of what really went down in the diamond world. At the same time, I’m turning my energy toward something I care deeply about: empowering women into leadership to restore balance—to our industries, our communities, and our planet.”
To that end, Anderson has put up a website, offering private consulting services for “women who are ready to lead, pivot, or rise.”
