Memos Seminar, Gold and Silver Guide at JA/NY

The Jewelers Vigilance Committee and the Jewelers Board of Trade present a seminar on memo transactions and JVC will answer questions about precious metals markings on Jan. 19 during the JA/NY Show.

“The Basics of Memo Transactions – The Do’s and Don’ts of Trading on Memo,” will be held at 8:30 a.m. in Meeting room 1D03-04 at the Javits Center. Attendees will receive the “The Essential Guide to ‘Memo’ Transactions.” seminar and guide co-produced by JVC and JBT.

Registration for this seminar is not required, space is limited. Contact Amy Greenbaum, amy@jvclegal.org, with questions. The guide can be downloaded from JVC and JBT sites – www.jvclegal.org or www.jewelersboard.com after the seminar.

In addition, Jo-Ann Sperano, JVC’s paralegal/mediator and expert in the marking of precious metals products, will review the “The Essential Guide to the U.S. Trade in Gold  and Silver Jewelry” and to answer questions at JVC’s booth, #1013 during the show.

JVC’s gold and silver guide explains how to mark and market gold and silver precious metal articles using existing and new technologies. The guide, underwritten by The Richline Group, can help the trade to provide clear, accurate information to consumer. It can be downloaded from JVC’s Web site.

Industry members can stop by booth #1013 or email Sperano at joann@jvclegal.org  to set up an appointment for Jan. 19.
