Meet the JCK Las Vegas 2014 Rising Stars

JCK Events has announced the lineup of 2014 Rising Stars for JCK Las Vegas. These five fresh jewelry designers—Blackbird and the Snow, Irthly Jewelled Adornments, KAURA JEWELS, Natalie Dissel, and Shrisha Jewels, who can be found in the Design Center—will each debut their collections for the first time at any U.S. trade show.

Established in 1995, the JCK Rising Star program has seen previously up-and-coming designers reach great heights—including the likes of Heather B. Moore, Sarah Graham, and Alex Woo, now widely recognized brands today. A common thread? True artisan quality, innovation, and distinct yet marketable style.

With Las Vegas just around the corner, here’s a sneak peek at the 2014 Rising Star collections. Read on to learn a little about each designer.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share my passion for rare gemstones and textured minerals,” said Natalie Dissel. “I am fascinated how gemstones and raw materials are so similar to the world’s entire flora and fauna, which was once underground.”

Irthly Jewelled Adornments 2014 Rising Star preview

“Every time I would go to JCK Las Vegas, I would look at the Rising Star booth because of its great location and proximity to events and other talented groups,” said David Alvarado, designer behind Irthly Jewelled Adornments. “My collection introduces elements of our world that are just as precious as jewelry, but also unique, organic materials seldom seen in fine jewelry.”

BLACKBIRD AND THE SNOW 2014 Rising Star preview

An ode to the natural world, Blackbird and the Snow pays homage to elements like wildlife, wings, and celestial bodies with its fine jewelry creations, using ethically sourced stones and recycled metals. “I am thrilled to be unveiling my first complete collection for Blackbird and the Snow at the JCK Rising Star platform,” said designer Marie-Juliette Bird. “To be recognized by the JCK community as a Rising Star is an honor for which I am deeply appreciative.”
