Mauri Pioppo Launches the Iliad Collection

Known for her wide range of collections with personalized
themes—think Love Letters—and charitable tie-ins (Hope for Henry), Mauri Pioppo
recently launched the Iliad collection, a new line inspired by the sea and personal life journeys.

“Each piece in this collection has an icon representing a
water element,” explains the designer. “In Buddhism,
water represents the flow of life.”

Motifs like shells, stingrays, and fish lend their
forms to Pioppo’s handiwork while blackened sterling silver with 14k and 18k
gold accents and rose- and ideal-cut diamonds help bring gently antiqued
looking pieces to life. Currently, the line consists of fewer than 10
pieces—due to sourcing, manufacturing, and higher price points in relation to
her other collections—but more could join existing
looks later on.
