Matthew Tratner (pictured), who formerly served as director of business development at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), will become general manager and vice president of Sarine North America.
Tratner will work from Sarine’s North American headquarters in New York City, located in the World Gem Tower on West 47th Street.
Tratner joined GIA in 2019. In a LinkedIn message, he said that he “thoroughly enjoyed my time there both professionally and personally.”
Prior to joining GIA, Tratner worked for Jewelers of America (JA), where he served as director of membership and sales, publisher of JA-owned National Jeweler, and membership director of the Diamond Council of America.
Sarine Technologies, which is listed on the Singapore and Tel Aviv stock exchanges, develops, manufactures, and sells precision technology products for the evaluation, planning, processing, finishing, grading, and trading of diamonds and gems.
