Pary LeVian, matriarch of the famed jewelry clan, died on April 8. She was 96.
Pary was the wife of Abdulrahim LeVian, who started Le Vian Corp. in the U.S. in 1950, and the mother of current CEO Eddie LeVian and his siblings Moossa, Liza, and Suzy, all of whom work in the family business. Another son, Lawrence, who’d served as chair of the company, died in January.
“Pary’s unwavering commitment to her family, community, and helping others has left an indelible mark on all who knew her,” said a statement from the family. “Her legacy of kindness and hospitality continues to inspire all who were touched by her life.”
She is survived by 89 direct descendants.
Donations can be made in her name to the Great Neck Kosher Food Pantry.
