Ideal Diamond Solutions announced Friday Mary Forte as its first outside investor and advisor to its board of directors.
Forte had previously served as president and chief executive officer of Zale Corporation until her retirement from that position in 2006.
While there, she oversaw the day-to-day operations of the company’s many divisions including Zales Jewelers, Gordon’s Jewelers, Bailey Banks & Biddle Fine Jewelers, Piercing Pagoda, Peoples Jewelers, Mapping Jewelers and Zales Outlet.
In addition, she also served on the boards of numerous organizations including Jewelers of America, Jewelers Vigilance Committee, Make-A-Wish Foundation, National Retail Federation and Jewelers Security Alliance.
