Marilu Klar is celebrating 50 years with Gump’s, the iconic San Francisco retailer.
Industry representatives, colleagues and friends gathered to honor Marilu Klar on July
12 with a dinner in the store that remains her base of operations after a half-century.
Klar has lectured around the country on the collections of jade and pearls that she
has created for Gump’s. A familiar presence in the world’s markets, she has a
well-earned reputation for sourcing gemstones that meet the highest standards
of quality and beauty. In addition to jade and pearls, she has made Gump’s a
destination for collectors of coral, lapis lazuli, and turquoise jewelry.
