Man Sells “Cursed” Diamond Ring on Craigslist

As sales pitches go, this is a novel one.

A Pennsylvania man is selling a 1.5 ct t.w. 14k white gold diamond ring for $1,800 on Craigslist that he claims is “cursed” and “tends to leave a path of destruction behind it.”

“Possible events associated with this ring include but are not limited to: damage sustained to house, vehicle, heart, downed power lines, fallen trees, and swarms of locus[ts],” the listing continues. “I would highly recommend taking action to counter the whirlwind of bad mojo that surrounds this piece of jewelry. Should consider having curse removed by voodoo priest or something before presenting to loved one.”

The ring was originally “worn by Satan herself,” the listing adds, and was purchased at Littman’s “for a sum of money far greater than I am comfortable admitting.”

However, the seller admits that other than curse, it is “a very nice piece of jewelry.”

“Looking to sell this soon before it brings any more bad luck into my life,” the listing concludes. “If not sold by Christmas I plan to throw it into the fires of Mordor.”

At press time, the ring does not appear to have found a buyer.
