The Crescent Jewelers Board of Directors has named Steven Maginnis chief executive officer of the fine jewelry retailer. Maginnis was previously president and chief operating officer of the 103-store regional chain.
Having joined Crescent Jewelers in May 2005 as senior vice president of marketing and merchandising, Maginnis brought extensive consulting and leadership experience in the field of retail and consumer products, the Alameda, Calif.-based chain said in a statement. Within his first year with the company, he significantly improved inventory management, buying practices, and store visual merchandising.
Crescent Jewelers is the ninth largest jewelry retailer in the United States, operating stores throughout California, Nevada, and Arizona.
