Macy’s has appointed advertising veteran Jason Holzman senior vice president of creative and production.
In his new role, Holzman will oversee the department store’s creative, photo studio, and marketing operations teams. He will report to Sharon Otterman, who was appointed chief marketing officer last November.
Most recently Holzman was senior vice president and head of creative for the Peacock streaming service. During his 17 years at NBC Universal, Peacock’s owner, he led teams responsible for marketing the USA and Syfy networks.
Holzman has also held creative positions at ad agencies BBDO and Euro RSCG. He has served as an adjunct professor at FIT (the Fashion Institute of Technology), where he’s taught advertising, and he recently coauthored a graphic novel, to be published by Humanoids.
“Jason brings a wealth of creative experience from consumer advertising, as well as the media and entertainment industries, and has a proven track record of innovative storytelling,” Otterman said in a statement.
