The luxury giant has named Anish Melwani its North American chairman and CEO.
Melwani comes to the company from McKinsey & Co., where he coleads the global strategy and corporate finance division. His appointment is meant to help “further accelerate growth and explore new development opportunities,” according to a statement from LVMH chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault.
Melwani replaces as chairman Pauline Brown, who has resigned to “pursue other opportunities,” said a statement.
Brown, who also had a private equity background, joined LVMH at the end of 2012.
