Luxury by JCK kicked off its sixth year on Monday with ballrooms bustling and retailers actively making their rounds. The event, taking place till Thursday at The Venetian Hotel, was packed with an impressive array of the industry’s leading manufacturers, designers, and brands showcasing their latest collections to the eager buyers looking for unique merchandise.

The storefront inspired salons, which made their debut in 2004, once again provided the air of sophistication and offered the perfect atmosphere for private face-to-face interaction and relationship building.

The launch of the new cutting-edge “Access JCK” TV helped to start off the festivities and 2005 event. As attendees registered and mingled on the salon floor, Michael Fortino, LUXURY’s Roving Reporter, conducted live on camera interviews with the segments airing on The Venetian Hotel’s in-house channel as well as television monitors throughout the ballrooms. The interviews supplied all LUXURY participants with the ability to access real-time insider tips on sales, marketing, and best practices from their peers in the industry. These segments are slated to run continuously throughout the close of The JCK Show – Las Vegas 2005 on June 7th.

Added this year to help make the event even more user-friendly was the first-ever Internet Café sponsored by Applications Systems Corp. Through this amenity, attendees were able to catch up on e-mail and stay connected with their peers and business partners while onsite. Other enhancements included Platinum Guild International’s Concierge Lounge, which provided business services, snacks, and beverages in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
