It’s a given that the LUXURY show is filled with beautiful jewelry. But beyond the beauty of the products, what strikes me most about this year’s LUXURY collections is the sheer variety of design styles and innovations represented within them.
Jewelry, like fashion, is susceptible to copycats and a general homogenization of design. Social media, with its all-consuming fads and preset font selections, can fuel that instinct to follow the herd.
But in an economic marketplace that’s favoring ultra-high-end jewelry lines, it’s clear that designers targeting affluent shoppers are feeling free to take risks and experiment when it comes to their products. Walking LUXURY’s spacious aisles, design ingenuity abounds.
Here are a few unique designs that turned my head on day two.
Sophia by Design‘s rainbow gemstone bracelet
Tara Hutch Designs‘ Argentium silver bracelet
Tacori‘s Horizon Shine collection of east-west-set cabochon-cut gemstone rings
Cevherun‘s 24k bracelets
Above and top: Norman Silverman Diamonds‘ enamel and heart-cut diamond rings
Artistry Ltd.‘s cabochon gemstone rings
