Nicole Richie and Joel Madden married on Dec. 11, and Neil Lane was there to help celebrate. Well, some of his designs were, since the Hollywood jeweler had custom-designed wedding bands for the pair.

Lane—who also created Richie’s engagement ring—dished a little bit about the rings before boarding a seven-hour international flight. “Hers was a platinum band accented with diamonds and filigree work,” says Lane. “His was a hand hammered 24k gold band.”
