Love Adorned to Host Fraser Hamilton as Artist-in-Residence

Love Adorned, the eclectic jewelry and lifestyle shop based in New York City, has announced an upcoming artist residency with British jewelry designer Fraser Hamilton at the retailer’s Nolita store in New York City.

From March 31 to April 12, Hamilton—who aims for a highly handmade look over polished perfection in his work—will be in-store, taking one-on-one appointments with clients looking to create a personalized piece of jewelry based on the designer’s signature hand and mask necklaces and rings.

Guests will choose a design, then handpick the gemstones to be used in the piece. All the British designer’s pieces are hand-carved from a single block of wax.

“Jewelry is already such a personal thing for people,” says Love Adorned owner Lori Leven. “To be able to pick a stone and a setup that speaks to you is the next best thing to creating it yourself. It almost turns the client into the artist.”

To kick off the residency, Love Adorned will host an “open trunk show and welcome party” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on April 1 in the store, which will be hung with Hamilton’s latest art installation.

“When I first started Love Adorned, my main interest was the art and craft of jewelry making,” adds Leven. “Having Fraser come in to sit with us and create truly speaks to the artists’ process. It makes it much more real for the wearer of his finished pieces.”

Clients can make an appointment with Hamilton during his Love Adorned residency here.
