The last four days of the holiday season will be among the busiest for retailers, according to retail forecaster ShopperTrak.
It reports that 2013 will see a shortened shopping season, with only four weekends between Thanksgiving and Christmas—down from five in 2012—meaning retailers now have a narrower window of time to capture business.
Black Friday will be the busiest shopping day this season, the company predicts—the 10th year in a row the day after Thanksgiving has claimed that title.
But after that, Dec. 21, the final Saturday before Christmas—sometimes known as Super Saturday—will be the second-strongest day, followed by Dec. 22, Dec. 20, and Dec. 23.
The day after Christmas is also looking like a strong day, ranking No. 6 on the ShopperTrak traffic list.
