Marvin Orenstein, longtime owner of Gem Jewelry Co. in Gainesville, Ga., died on Dec. 21 at the age of 91.
Orenstein’s father-in-law opened Gem Jewelry in 1936. Orenstein was known for donating watches to star high school football players, according to The Gainesville Times.
He was also a former president of the Lions Club and the Georgia Jewelers Association.
