The Lone Star Chapter of the Gemological Institute of America Associates and Alumni will sponsor an all-day bench jeweler seminar on Sept. 7, one day before the Southwest Jewelry Show. The seminar will take place in Grapevine, Texas, at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center. Seminar fee is $125 and includes lunch.
Speakers and topics to include the following: Arthur Skuratowicz, “Innovative Tools for the Bench Jeweler,” Teresa Shannon, “Palladium – The Jewelry Industry’s New Metal,” Crafford LaserStar, “Laser Profit Centers for Today’s Retail Jeweler,” Cyril Saelens, “The Many Benefits of CAD/CAM Design Software,” and Patrick Ball, “GIA’s New iTunes University.”
An afternoon panel discussion will include: Dale Westberg, Advanced Chemical Co., Arthur Skuratowicz, Jewelry Training Center, Teresa Shannon Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America Jewelry Academy, and Cyril Saelens, 3Design Software Solutions.
