Live From Baselworld 2015: Mikimoto’s New Pearl One-of-a-Kinds

At every Baselworld, Mikimoto unveils a few special pieces, and as usual, this year’s offerings did not disappoint. Belinda Fang, senior manager of public relations and promotions, walked me through the new one-of-a-kinds, which are always on display in the brand’s windows. Three of the four sold this morning, opening day of the show. The only one that remains for sale is Stream. (Mikimoto couldn’t reveal details of where in the world the trio will call home.) All the pieces were made by Mikimoto’s design team in Japan and took about a year to make. Details on all four are below; prices are available on request.
