Greetings again, folks. I departed Florence on Wednesday, and am now in Basel, Switzlerand, for the Baselworld Watch & Jewellery Fair.
The flat where I’m staying in Basel. No boats for me this year!
Spring in Basel, Switzerland, at the Baselworld Watch & Jewellery Fair.
Since I just started walking the show floor, I don’t have a great deal of images to share with you yet. However, I’m uploading a few to give you a little taste of what I’m already seeing.
Pieces in the window of the David Yurman booth.
Since I just met with Mikimoto a few weeks ago, I only stopped briefly to chat with Maureen Gribbin and to see a few stunning one-of-a-kind pieces in their booth windows.
The Mikimoto booth at the Fair.
These showstoppers were designed by craftsmen in Japan. The first two pieces are Tahitian pearls and diamonds, and the last are golden South Sea pearls.
I’m off to the show, so check out the blog again tomorrow for more pics.
