Levinson Jewelers, Plantation, Fla., has recently sold a rare Altiplano pocket watch by Piaget to one of its biggest collectors.
This white gold timepiece retailed for $145,000 and was the only one available in the United States, the independent jeweler said in a statement.
The Piaget pocket watch uses the tourbillon regulator. The mechanically-wound Piaget Calibre 602P is housed by a 40mm white gold case. The carriage of this tourbillon, which is visible through a dial opening at 9, is comprised of 42 parts. This numbered timepiece is currently one of seven with future production still in planning. It comes with a white gold chain as well as a leather strap.
