Levinson Jewelers Honors Business Leaders

The South Florida Business Journal and Levinson Jewelers, Plantation, Fla., presented the Annual “Diamond CEO Awards” at Nova Southeastern University Sept. 6th, honoring nine of Broward County’s top business and community leaders.

Recognizing Broward County’s top leaders whose professional achievement, exceptional leadership, vision, philanthropy and overall community contributions has helped to set standards in the corporate community. The Diamond Awards also acknowledges contributions which extend beyond the business sector, improving the social fabric of our community and the quality of life for local businesses and residents.

“As a devoted entrepreneur, I recognize that doing business and giving back to the community go hand-in-hand.” said Mark Levinson, co-owner of Levinson Jewelers.

More than 100 guests attended the awards program hosted in the Rose & Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center at NSU.

The 2007 Diamond Award Honorees were: Joe Amaturo of Amaturo Family Partnership, Howard S. Dvorkin of Consolidated Credit Counseling, Joel Feinberg of Sports Talk 790 The Ticket, Tanzer Kalayci of Keith Schnars, P.A., Thomas E. Lewis of Broward Marine, Stephen McGill of Eastern Financial Florida Credit Union, Angela Nowland of Capital Grille, Carl Schuster of Ruden McClosky, and Stephen Jackman of Seitlin Insurance, who also received the Diamond CEO Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Diamond Awards were conceived six years ago by Levinson Jewelers and The South Florida Business Journal as a salute to top leaders in Broward County for professional achievement, leadership, vision, philanthropy, and overall community contributions.
