Lazare Kaplan has appealed a federal court’s dismissal of its lawsuit against Antwerp Diamond Bank.

According to court documents, the New York diamond manufacturer filed a notice of civil appeal with the United States Court of Appeal for the Second Circuit on Sept. 7.

A judge had ruled that the case, which charges ADB with violations of RICO statutes, was better tried in Belgium.
